Connecting businesses for a thriving Northside community.
The Northside Chamber of Commerce has been serving Northside businesses since 1897. They partner with more than 400 companies and organizations to enhance existing business-related programs and events throughout the Northside, as well as create new ones that help our community thrive. Here's an example. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, The Northside Chamber of Commerce launched the NorthsideWorks! workforce development initiative in 2021 to help businesses and residents succeed in the changing post-recovery workforce.
Jobs, connections, and growth— all in one place.
So, if you're looking for a place to work, have an open position with your company, NorthSideWorks! can help. The Chamber’s initiative Provides the opportunity to connect people with resources by sharing available opportunities in the job market, as well as making suggestions for professional services so jobseekers can further or enhance their careers.

Frequently asked questions
NorthSideWorks! is an initiative through the Northside/North Shore Chamber of Commerce. Because of its connections to the Northside business and nonprofit communities, the initiative’s strength is in sharing the information it gathers. NorthSideWorks! can connect you to organizations dedicated to working with you to apply for roles and can connect you to open roles at local employers. NorthSideWorks! is not an employer, itself.
The most effective way to use NorthSideWorks! is by making sure you are receiving the monthly Career Connect update, following @northsideworks on social media, and using the Resident Resource Guide. Not only that, but using the update, information on social media and in the Resident Resource Guide to inform your plans for skill development and job searching!
NorthSideWorks! does not deliver resumes to employers.
NorthSideWorks! is focused on serving the 18 neighborhoods on the Northside, but is available to anyone looking for employment.
NorthSideWorks! can take some time to walk you through the resources available through the initiative, including organizations that can sit with you to apply for jobs. Currently, a NorthSideWorks! representative cannot directly assist you in applying to jobs, but will refer you to one of two current partners: WIN Workforce Development, or Goodwill Adult Career Services.
